Just Perfect Specialty Foods Ltd.

This policy explains how Just Perfect Specialty Foods Ltd. (JPF) handles personal information collected through justperfectfoods.com and related business inquiries.

Information you provide

When you submit our inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, company name if supplied, product type and the details in your message, such as packaging needs and expected production volume. We also receive information you provide in follow-up communications. Please provide only information relevant to your inquiry.

How we use your information

We use inquiry information to respond to you, assess whether our manufacturing services fit your needs, discuss quotations and production requirements, and manage our business relationship with you. We also process limited technical information to operate the website, investigate problems and prevent spam or misuse.

Technical information and security

Our inquiry form uses your IP address to help limit repeated submissions and prevent automated spam. Website hosting and security services may also record technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, access times and browser information.

We use iThemes Security to help detect malicious activity. Depending on the activity, its logs can include visitor IP addresses, logged-in user IDs and usernames used in login attempts. Logged events can include attempted sign-ins, sign-outs, suspicious page requests, content changes and password updates. These iThemes security logs are retained for 60 days.

The site participates in iThemes’ network protection against automated login attacks. IP addresses associated with login attempts are shared with that security service. Its site scanner also checks for malware and vulnerabilities and can encounter information already published on the website. Provider privacy information: https://solidwp.com/privacy-policy

Cookies

WordPress uses a temporary cookie on the login page to check browser cookie support. It expires when the browser closes. For signed-in users, login cookies normally last two days, or two weeks when Remember Me is selected; display-preference cookies last one year. Logging out removes login cookies. Editing or publishing content can also set a cookie containing the edited post’s ID, lasting one day.

Where comment forms offer an option to remember your details, choosing it saves those details in cookies for one year. You can control cookies through your browser settings; restricting them may affect some functions.

Comments and spam screening

Where comments are enabled, WordPress collects the comment and information entered in its form, together with an IP address and browser information for moderation and spam detection. Comments and associated records may remain until removed to support moderation and follow-up discussions.

Akismet, provided by Automattic, checks comments for spam. Information sent for this check can include the commenter’s name, email address, comment, IP address, browser information, referring page and website address, depending on the information supplied and the feature used. Where Gravatar comment avatars are displayed, a hash derived from the email address may be sent to Gravatar to check for a profile image. Provider privacy information: https://automattic.com/privacy-notice/

The main JPF inquiry form uses its own spam-prevention checks and does not itself submit inquiries to Akismet.

How information is handled and shared

Inquiries are delivered to JPF by email. We use Hosting Nation for website and email hosting. Information may be handled by JPF personnel and providers supporting our hosting, email, security and business systems as needed for those purposes. External security and spam-screening providers may process information outside Canada. We may also disclose information where required or permitted by applicable law.

Protection and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use or disclosure. We retain it for as long as reasonably needed to handle inquiries, manage related business matters and meet applicable legal requirements. When those purposes no longer require retention, we securely dispose of the information or remove identifying details, subject to applicable requirements.

Your choices and requests

You may ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to its use where applicable. Legal or contractual requirements may limit what we can delete or stop using. We will explain relevant limitations and any effect on our ability to assist you. We may need to verify your identity before responding to a request.
